Gaya Veggie Market & Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Lisbon

This place is a two in one, with a café service (with vegetarian food and a couple daily vegan meals) and a vegan, local grocery shop. I come here often for lunch, and food is always tasty, uncomplicated and healthy. Food and drinks are either made on store or sourced locally and can be ordered to go. They have frozen vegeterian burgers to go, and special dishes may be ordered ahead. I had the washington roll and a cake for a dinner party ordered once.

In the grocery, there is a bit of everything from ice cream to bulk wholesale cereal. Mostly are sourced locally, but I've learned many come from Germany.

There is outdoor sitting, with a few seats under the arcade and a few other in the open. But outdoors can get windy, as we all know Telheiras is.

Staff is super friendly.

The place faces the busy Avenida das Nações Unidas, but it is slightly offset and is partly hidden by trees and bushes. There is a Gira bike port right in front with bike lane running right next to it, making it convenient for bike riders.

We stumbled across this place in search of a vegan restaurant, and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and passionate about their vegan food. The service was extremely fast, and it was one of our best and wholesome meals while visiting Lisbon. We loved it so much, we ended up taking away some of their frozen burgers and croquettes!
