O Patamar — Restaurant in Lisbon

Local restaurant Staying at a nearby boutique hotel, I was pleased to find this restaurant described as being local. Walked with me knowing a few worlds in Portuguese and the owner, staff and patrons knowing no English or Spanish. It came down to charades, and it worked. I was able to gesture, point and use my phone to show photos of what I wanted. A menu is provided and I definitely wanted the bacchalou, BAKED and a side of rice. Chose a small bottle of red and sat outside. It was a mild evening and didn’t feel cold. After 30 minutes of waiting- my food arrived and it was well worth the wait ! Fresh, hot, well flavored that I didn’t need salt nor pepper. Many locals of different backgrounds came through for a beer, cocktail and a smoke. I would say this was one of my best meals in Portugal!!...

I've been going to O Patamar for over two years for breakfast, lunch, a coffee break, and afterwork drinks. The staff goes out of their way to serve you in the best and fastest way possible. They offer great value for money. It's one of my favorite places in Alvalade. Their tremoços are the best...

Tudo 5 estrelas a preços francamente justos. Serviço de cafetaria impecavel. A Comida é deliciosa,feita com carinho e o ambiente hiper acolhedor com a simpatia do costume. Recomendo muito o bife à patamar,com um molho incrível,bitoque normal,peixe frito com arroz de pimentos e claro os caracóis apuradinhos feitos pela mão de quem sabe. Tem uma enorme esplanada ao longo da arcada onde se está lindamente no verão . Muito obrigado por nos servirem...
