Alma do Algarve — Restaurant in Loulé

Had dinner here on our last day in Vilamoura/Quarteira and oh my god! what a find it was. They have been open just 4 weeks and already their reviews on Google are amazing including mention of how good the chef is so we gave it a try. The menu has a good balance of dishes; we went for seafood as that's our favourite and every dish was incredible - Muxama and Cuttlefish for starter and Octopus and seafood Risotto for main. I am not exaggerating, it was up there with the very best food I have ever eaten. The service was also fantastic; Dahria (hope I spelled your name correctly) was brilliant. She told us about the food and made some recommendations which were spot-on. She was really enthusiastic about the food and the restaurant which made the whole experience even better. We didn't catch the name of the other staff member but he was also friendly and subtly attentive. This place is a real gem and they are going to be huge so if you get a chance to eat here before the crowds explode in July do so. Hard to imagine there is anywhere better...

Alma do Algarve offers a genuine slice of Algarvian hospitality. We popped in for a light bite and some wine before heading to the beach and were immediately charmed by the warm, family-run atmosphere. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt welcomed. Our waitress was exceptionally thoughtful. She guided us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm, offering thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our desire for a light snack. Beyond her helpfulness, she was also a pleasure to chat with, making our brief stop feel truly meaningful. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and bursting with flavour. It was evident that quality ingredients and a passion for cooking are at the heart of this establishment. We were a group of four women with two kids, and everything about our visit was just perfect.

Our waitress, Daria, was incredibly kind and welcoming — she even took the time to play with the children, which was such a thoughtful touch. She was so attentive that she seemed to anticipate our needs before we even said a word. Thanks to her, we felt relaxed and truly taken care of from the very beginning.

And the food — wow! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. You could feel the precision and creativity behind it.
