Chalé da Praia — Restaurant in Loulé

Absolutely shocking behaviour from either the manager or owner or employee, loud Portuguese guy. We asked for the bill and we were 3 people. He brought the bill and we asked to see it, as we wanted to split between us, this guy lost his mind and said well if you want to see the bill I will add on everything. It was quite astonishing, we were charged €67 and noticed we weren't charged for a few things. We assumed it was because this guy kept forgetting everything we asked for and getting our orders wrong. He then very aggressively asked what we had to drink and started adding random numbers to the bill and it then came to €99!!! We just paid it to get away from him, but beware of this guy. Shouts at people to come and join the place but then scams you.

There are two bars next to this place with better cocktails and happy hour offers, less hassle to go to...

NOT RECOMMENDED! The food was disgusting, it looked like pet food, the taste was terrible, let alone the service .... The man was very disrespectful, he broke a glass on our table and didn't even clean the glasses. Then when he brought new glasses and drinks, the glasses fell over again and he just put the ice back in the glasses with his hands, and then spilled one of the cola drinks. His excuse was that he had been working raw for 15 days and was very tired, but after reading all the comments above I doubt it was true.... They seem to run this restaurant as a joke and not as a business. Also very dirty...

Terrible service. We arrived (4 people) to have dinner when there were only 2 or 3 tables in use. They seated us. We ordered two smoothies, one salad and one cheese and ham sandwich. They were painfully slow. By the time the smoothies arrived some other tables had been seated and served. But the salad and the sandwich never came out despite we reminded it twice, and some tables that had arrived later had been served and had finished.
