Excellent grilled salmon in the week, different story when busy on weekend. I ordered grilled cod, but it was late arriving, dry and appeared overcooked, I could actually tap it to make a noise. The owner/manager said that was how it was meant to be, as it was preserved cod?? Why serve preserved fish when your restaurant is within 100m of the harbour and fish market, and why not indicate on menu? I had expected a succulent piece of cod like the salmon I had earlier in the week. Anyhow, it was inedible, but most disappointing aspect was that when we went to pay the owner /manager left the premises for the poor waitress to explain that they still wanted full price! Poor show! The food we have had in Portugal has always been excellent, hard to believe this dish was really what it was...

Fantastic food. Don't get fooled by the sign of snack bar outside. This restaurant is typically frequented by locals, and offers a wide range of fish choices at very reasonable prices. Octopus is the house specialty.
