After spending the afternoon enjoying the Algarve sunshine and waves, we stopped by this beachfront restaurant to refuel. To be honest, the food quality was average — decent but nothing particularly memorable. We tried a few dishes including pizza and pasta, and while everything was fine, it didn’t stand out in flavor or presentation. I also noticed that the menu seems to have changed compared to a previous visit. Personally, I preferred the older menu — it felt more distinctive and satisfying. That said, the real highlight here isn’t what’s on the plate, but what’s beyond the terrace. Located just steps from the beach, this spot is perfect for a casual bite after playing in the sand or strolling the promenade. With the sea breeze and warm sunset light, it offers a relaxing end to a seaside day. If you're looking for gourmet Italian, you might want to look elsewhere. But for a convenient location with a view, this is a solid, easy option.

nice location with a huge patio right across from the beach. arrived early for lunch and was the second table seated outside. servers are polite and drinks/appetizer were quick to arrive but it took FOREVER for our pizzas to arrive. not sure if they were waiting for us to finish the appetizer before placing order for our pizza (which they should not have especially seeing as we had two hungry and restless toddlers) but other tables that came later got their pizzas first and our server had to come around twice to reassure us it was on its way. how unfortunate since the food was actually decent (or we were just really hungry ha). what topped off this negative experience was seeing the cockroaches in the bathrooms downstairs at the end of our visit..not sure if we’ll be returning anytime soon, perhaps for takeout.

Went to San Martino Pizzeria for the first time today, and it also will be the last time! Ordered a Virgin Pina Colada and my husband ordered a white wine. Two drinks should not take 15 minutes, aside from the fact there were only 2 other tables of 2. We were enjoying our day. We were waiting for someone to check on a table, that never happened, once the first drink was put on table never saw the server again or for that matter any server. I had to go find someone so I could order another drink. Once I ordered another 15 minutes to receive the drinks at the table. No excuse we didn't order food we ordered a drink. Very disappointed in the quality of service, and I feel comfortable saying this I worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years. First and foremost check on your customers it only takes a minute,we had planned on having dinner but realized that if it took 15 minutes to get a drink we probably would had to spend the night to get a meal. Lastly when we received the bill they charged me 10.00euros for a virgin Pina colada......what a joke,I can only imagine what they would have charged me if I ordered it with alcohol!! Truly...

Fantastic restaurant, you don't get the true picture from outside or just walking past. Step inside to see a beautiful classy restaurant complete with piano. Beautiful setting, lovely pictures and arches, with low volume chilled relaxing music in the background. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly, excellent manners and attentive, but not to the point where it was annoying. The prices were amazingly cheap for such an upmarket experience and setting. We visited twice in our 5 day trip, both times it was perfect. This was our first trip to Vilamoura, but we will definitely be retuning and will make a special trip back to eat at S. Martino's, which is a nice beachfront walk away. Great work eveyone, we loved it. You are an unexpected treasure, you should to do more to let people see what a beautiful setting you have inside, from outside you would never expect to find such a lovely, cozy and welcoming space....
