Coral Food and Wine Tapas — Restaurant in Loulé

We went for a meal last night. Had not booked and asked for a table for 2. One of the staff in a black pony tail told us to give him a minute and proceeded to clean down tables whilst we just stood there and ignored us. After 10 mins I approached who I believe was the manager and he showed us to a table. We then waited another 10 mins before we could order. Again we had to prompt them. Then kept waiting for our drinks even after other tables who arrived after us had got their drinks. Had to remind another member of staff. At that point we were just about to get up and leave. When the food eventually arrived the quality was very good. The manager in beige top was very personable but I would say the they were clearly understaffed and unmotivated. I will not...

A really lovely tapas restaurant right on the promenade. We went for lunch and it was pretty busy but we were seated immediately. Firstly the food is excellent. We especially loved the fried cheese and the eggs with potatoes & prosciutto. The fish taco wasn't to my taste but it was prepared well. The service isn't bad but considering it's a pricier restaurant in the area I'd expect a little more, for example you have to try and catch their attention for everything (drinks, the bill). Definitely go here for the food though as it was the best Tapas we had...

We were sent away! 😅 We were going to have dinner with friends somewhere else and we were a bit early. Due to the great reviews for the Coral, we thought we'd have a few drinks here and some tapas on the terrace, where maybe 2 tables were taken. When the young waiter came and we told him we were just going to have some drinks and a couple of tapas, he told us this was not possible, we could only stay for a full meal...
