Considering that Sensai is not an independent restaurant but part of the Anantara hotel, the restaurant offers great quality dishes for an OK price point. The service is (like in all Anantara hotels worldwide) absolutely impeccable. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy and intimate. If you like to sit outside, there is a great view on the golf course too. The menu offers everything from simple dishes like Pad Thai to Sushi and Kobe beef. I decided for Sushi and can’t complain about the quality. However, given the price point of almost 80€ just for the Sushi menu I did expect some more creativity like locally inspired twists that weren’t there. Don’t get me wrong: The quality of the sushi was very good and I enjoyed every piece. But I still wouldn’t rank it in my Top 10 of best sushis I’ve ever had. If you’re staying at Anantara and fancy for some Asian cuisine you can’t do anything wrong here. If you’re coming from outside and have to travel for more than 30 minutes, I strongly believe that there are better options in the same or slightly higher price range available.

Pleasantly surprised by this fine dining restaurant within the Anantara Algarve resort. Staff was polite and professional, menu was broad with a varied assortment of dishes, location was wonderful with a view on the golf courses, and, most importantly, the food was exquisite, both in taste and presentation. Overall on the pricier side (75 p/p for 3 courses + wine) but definitely worth it! The sushi was one of the best we've ever had. Would heavily recommend to visit the restaurant at least once when staying in the hotel :).

We stayed at the hotel (Anantara) as we are frequent guest from the brand because of their hospitality and it wasn’t a miss here.

Sensai it’s their Asian option restaurant and curiously first time I met Anantara was in Asia and their food was stunning but somehow they didn’t manage to bring that expertise to Portugal yet.

Average to bad food. Service average as well. I was the last one to eat after everyone has eaten already and we order altogether.

Kids didn’t even want to finish their food as hey complain it was tasteless.

Restaurant has a nice...
