Sushi was good quality but was overpriced and the waitress was the rudest I have had in years. I walked in and the place was empty not one other table. I said I have a reservation and she just gave me this fake smile and starred at me. I had to ask her for the table. She then disappeared for 10 minutes and I had to ask her every time I ordered. I’m very happy with the food at this restaurant. The Thai dishes are simply delicious and taste exactly the same as in Thailand. The sushi is equally great — my favorite set is Fusion 1. I have to drive 40 minutes to get there, but I would go even farther if I had to.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Today I visited again and asked about a dish that wasn’t on the menu. The chef went above and beyond and prepared it specially for me.

Thai and Maki is a new restaurant in Almancil. The food is delicious and authentically prepared, with attentive service to match. I only tried the Thai food tonight: green curry chicken, Pattaya salad, and shrimp cake—all of which were authentic and delicious. They have an extensive menu, and I noticed other diners enjoying sushi and tacos, which looked quite appetizing. If you want to try more dishes, you can consider their all-you-can-eat lunch!
