TOP Table BBQ - Korean restaurant — Restaurant in Loulé

There's no ventilation where we were sitting, there was no ac so it was quite hot grilling our meats inside the restaurant. I was disappointed that this place isn't an all you can eat Korean bbq. Korean BBQs in Canada and America are mostly all you can eat, so when we got the combo 1 which states it's for 2-3 people. It was not enough for me and my wife and it costs 40 euros for that. That's the price you pay for all you can eat back in America for 2 people The banchan or the little appetizers they gave us was supposed to be shared amongst everybody that was there, but the servings were so small, that it was laughable. They said the first one is complimentary but if you want more, it would've cost 3.95 euros per person. Which makes no sense. Why charge more for something so tiny? They will provide you with a tiny dish of peanuts, tiny dish of kimchi, salad, and bean sprouts. Let's just say there was one person there, they will provide you with the same tiny dishes, as if they were providing for 4, people. So that just seems like a ripoff for me. My wife and I were not full from our meal, it was just enough to hold us off. We still had to go home and eat some more. But other than that the service was great, staffs and owners were friendly. As the very first Korean BBQ restaurant in the area, TOP Table BBQ brings much-needed variety to the Algarve's food landscape. While the food may not yet reach the heights of a five-star culinary standard, I believe the effort, passion, and vision behind the restaurant truly deserve recognition.

The owner is warm, attentive, and clearly dedicated to creating a genuine Korean dining experience. I understand the challenges of operating a BBQ restaurant in Algarve—summer brings crowds but also heat, which makes hot meals less appealing, while winter may offer a better ambiance but fewer visitors. Despite this, the setup has been thoughtfully designed. The central dining space is well ventilated and comfortable, though the smaller private room could benefit from improved airflow.

We eagerly waited for this restaurant to open, since we heard so many great things about the one in Lisbon, and we go weekly to another Korean BBQ in Faro. Sadly, most of the people who have given a positive review here most likely haven't been to an actual Korean BBQ restaurant. I hope the owner reads this review and really learns from our experience, since it's going to be VERY hard for you to stay in business with the current operation.

Firstly, what was great: your staff and restaurant decor.

Now on to what was not: Your meat portions are almost twice the price and half the size as what we usually get in Faro's Korean BBQ. You have no draft beer and your bottle beer is warm. The Bulgogi didn't have any sauce in it. You charge 4 Euro for the bbq condiments that usually ALWAYS come free with Korean BBQ. There's no changing table for babies, a standard in all family restaurants in Portugal.

We spent 100 Euros for lunch and left hungry. This is not supposed to happen with Korean BBQ.

Esperámos ansiosamente pela abertura deste restaurante, uma vez que ouvimos tantas coisas boas sobre o de Lisboa, e vamos semanalmente a outro churrasco coreano em Faro. Infelizmente, a maior parte das pessoas que fizeram uma crítica positiva aqui, provavelmente não estiveram num restaurante de churrasco coreano. Espero que o proprietário leia esta crítica e aprenda com a nossa experiência, pois vai ser MUITO difícil manter o negócio com a operação atual.

Em primeiro lugar, o que foi ótimo: o seu pessoal e a decoração do restaurante.

Agora vamos ao que não foi: As vossas doses de carne são quase o dobro do preço e metade do tamanho do que costumamos comer no Faro's Korean BBQ. Não têm cerveja de pressão e a cerveja de garrafa é morna. O Bulgogi não tinha qualquer molho. Cobram 4 euros pelos condimentos de churrasco que normalmente são SEMPRE gratuitos no Korean BBQ. Não há fraldário para bebés, uma norma em todos os restaurantes familiares em Portugal.
