My friend and I had a great time dinning here. It was definitely a highlight of our trip! We stopped by for lunch because we wanted to try some traditional Portuguese food. We had one of the outdoor seatings and the view is magnificent. We tried the grilled fish from menu of the day, had a vegetable soup, and a traditional soup served with bread, fried pork and potatoes. Also my friend was craving for grilled mushroom, even though it’s not on the menu, they made us some! All food is so delicious and the portions are big! But we finished everything because they are just too good! The service is also great. The owner and his nephew gave us a warm welcome, explained questions we had about the menu patiently, and served our food with a smile on their face the whole time. The kindness they shared with us made our hearts sing and felt so welcomed in this foreign country. Thank you so much! We will definitely visit this...
Read moreFantastic regional food prepared with passion and served with pride. Our first course was a grilled local cheese served with fig jam - like a rustic Portuguese version of brie - delicious. Maybe the highlight of the night was a traditional soup of an olive-oil spiked broth served over bread and steaks of dogfish. Beautifully rich and flavorful, this was assembled tableside and was a very large amount of food. My wife's entree was the beef steak in a mustard cream sauce - she called it one of the best steaks she's ever eaten in her life! My own entree was grill pork slices. Delicious, but the most interesting thing on my plate was the huge serving of a traditional Algarve bread dish (I've forgotten the name). It's like a savory bread pudding with lots of garlic and olive oil. Like a vastly superior version of an American bread stuffing. Great food, ambience, and service in the beautiful...

This could be the start of a beautiful story, and we are fortunate to have gems like this place I don't know if Michelin guide knows about this place, but it's about time that someone gives them, the credit they deserve The place is formidable, with vintage stuff on the entrance and spreaded across the room Yes, the waiting time can be daunting But when the food arrives it's from another world, and makes you forget the waiting From the bread and olives To the grilled cheese with tomato jam The meat, namely the tournedo is awesome and the regional dishes are perfect You get a modern touch, but respecting the original recipes Service is out of bounds Did I tell you already that the food is incredible? This a gem, and needs to preserved like this Not to fast, like in Alentejo, but with everything on the right...
