No Largo há Tasca — Restaurant in Mafra

Was a good place before, there’s a rude lady working there right now, try to avoid her as much as possible! Be sure about what you are eating if you are vegetarian! They are some fish and sea food plate with meet!

1- I asked cuttlefish feijoada and I found meet inside and when I asked the lady to change it because no one worn that you will find meet in cuttlefish dish, she said it was my mistake that I have to know or ask and when I asked that dish,

2 I asked one more rice to eat it with cuttlefish feijoada and when I asked her directly to take away, she say the rice left the kitchen so it’s our responsibility not her,

3 I asked her to have the menu and she said that I can use the bar code and when I told her the phone was off she said ok and she ignored us for 20 minutes, and. I went to the restaurant to tell her that I don’t want the menu anymore.

All that happened and I don’t want to tell all of that for the foreigner and tourist feeling bad but your editing encouraged me to tell everything!

This restaurant is still new-ish so perhaps not well-known like some other well established spots in the area. Yet.

The food is absolutely amazing, authentic, delicious, with a dash of innovation and loads of caring about the dishes.

The terrace is lovely and central and the team are rockstars, both in the kitchen and in the service.

As someone who has been living here for several years, I cannot go a week without a Prego a Tasca, or the shrimp with their delicious homemade mayo. The best codfish pataniscas in town as well.

I couldn’t recommend them...

I would give a zero if I can. The owner is a complete racist. I went in with a smile, asking politely for a table for 4 while my husband is outside with the 2 kids. The owner walked by me back and forth twice without saying anything. He kept serving other tables and ignore me standing there. Then I heard he said something in Portuguese to another staff and the word American. Right away I left the place and went to another restaurant. Btw I am Canadian. If you want to serve just locals, just put a sign out there...
