Pizzeria Pepe Verde Ericeira — Restaurant in Mafra

Our group of 5 showed up at 6:45 pm March 22 2023 , We were told restaurant opens at 7 pm , so we reserved for 5 and waited, We arrived again at 7pm and were told by the gentleman behind the counter , we had only 1.5 hr to eat ,Being a party of 10 was going to arrive,at 8:30 pm I WISH WE WERE TOLD THAT AT 6:45 pm , not when we are about to be seated , NEVER anywhere in the world was I or my 3 foreign quests ever told that we had a time limit to eat , was very RUDE , my 3 quests that were bringing us for pizza were also surprised, we ate and left before our allotted time , I have a local business that I send alot of quests to this establishment because the pizza / food is EXCELLENT, But being told you have a certain about of time to eat , is not very professional, and most people don't take 1.5 hr to eat.. If you are in Ericeira, and you are looking for a pizzeria, that’s the pizza place you absolutely have to try, cannot miss it, as Italian and chef, I can really recommend you this place, we had a wonderful dinner, pizzas much better than the average pizza you can find in Italy! Super popular place in Ericeira. I don't know if they take bookings but would recommend, particularly for groups. We turned up around 7pm and managed to get a table for two outside without wait, but a queue very quickly formed after that.

Their pizzas are great, the dough is really good with good choice of toppings and all pizzas are baked in a proper pizza oven. Service is super quick so food comes out quickly. We had the 4 stagioni and the Lucca. Both were excellent and the pizza sizes are sizeable and great after a day of surfing.
