We visited this restaurant twice, one was good and was was just OK. On the first time we had a waiter who is a student in Porto university and he had perfect English, so he explained the menu and was really kind and helpful. The experience was amazing - although we waited 35m outside. The wait was because the restaurant was full, but even after it began to emptied it took 10 more minutes. On the second time there was no nice waiter, the local older waiter didn't know English nor had any interest communicating with us on google translate. He was a little impatient to us although eventually delicious food did com out, but not what we wanted. We live in Porto and our Portuguese is not really good enough, so my recommendation for Portuguese speakers - this is an amazing restaurant, but for non-portugese speakers it is less recommended since the English speaking waiters can't be predicted. And I do hope we would start speaking Portuguese well enough so we can...

We have found the place by accident as we were in the area and looking for a restaurant to have dinner. And such a great surprise it was. We had to wait for about an hour to get a table as the restaurant was all full but it was definitely worthy. They serve typical Portuguese food, most of it prepared in a traditional oven, heated with wooden logs. We had the Francesinha (as we are indeed francesinha lovers) and it was absolutely amazing. One of the best we have ever had. The waiters were very friendly too; it was actually their behavior which made us stay and wait for so long for the table as they managed to convince us we won't regret it. And so it was. Will definitely go back to try some other dishes too as they all look so good, it's actually so hard to choose. 100%...

Food * Service * Decoration * Portions * Price *

Within the rustic traditional style of Portuguese restaurants, this was absolutely perfect, an hidden gem. From quality/price to quantity, to service and decoration, was all great!!!!! We had Cabrito assado, one of the best I had so far, and a juicy, tender delicious laminated beef steak from Arouca, simply divinal! The usual starters but better than most places. As for the wine, the list was short but just right. We had a very good one price/quality wise (Piano Douro-Doc). Was my birthday and the owner was very friendly and offered us a bottle of sparkling wine. Couldn't be any better. I'm coming to the conclusion that these type of places are almost impossible to find in Porto center. Got to stay off the...
