As you arrive to this place, they give you some olives and tuna (something that you will be charged on your bill without knowing it), without asking for it. We asked for a salad and it didn't arrive at our table . Then, when the meat arrived, it was accompained with some crisps, I dont know if this is something normal in Portugal but they could have asked if you wanted normal potatoes as in the rest of the world. When we went to pay, they wanted to chargue us for the salad which didnt come up and the olives we didnt even eat. The waitress wasnt guilty but she was a bit unkind to us, when we complained the boss looked at us with a strange grin, I dont know why, maybe because he couldnt accomplish his goal of charging us for the salad and the olives. Some slices of bread were stale. The cod was good though. But disappointing in general.
In response to the owner of the restaurant: The table where we sat down was absolutely empty and the waitress recommend us that place. Once sat, she brought us the "starters" Without saying anything else (something that in the rest of the world nobody does). We started to taste that tuna thinking that it was free, then we decided to change to another table because of the noises, thinking again that it was free until that we discovered with the "Menu prices" that it wasnt free. In all places people ask you how you want the potatoes, it is something completely normal. We didnt want any money back, we only wanted to pay for what we ate, as simple as that. If this is the reason to think that we are the worst people, you should start to think about considering criticism, and learning from mistakes, for not answering non-sense things. I say that because I have a profitable bar-restaurant here, and it would be impossible for me charging my clients without informing them. Lastly, I wish the best in your business to the contrary of your very rude comment. Humility is very important 😉 PD: When I speak about the rest of restaurants I talk about other countries,...
Read moreSo this is our first visit in two years due to the poor service we received the last time, we are locals who enjoy supporting small businesses, however once again the service was frustratingly slow, and the restaurant was only with 20-30 people in during a weekday lunch service, the kids meal came out 25 minutes before the adults, the drinks were slow and there were many waiters standing around who could be helping speed things up in the kitchen, they were also appearing grumpy when questioned why it's taking so long, overall a frustrating experience as we always enjoy the food but it's just tooo slow to come out and...
