Everything you expect from a bakery and much more. Here you can get bread and cakes as well as small dishes for in between. Always very fast, friendly and always anxious service. There are some tables and seats at a small counter with a view out of the shop window to the street. Unfortunately no seats outside in the fresh air as would be desirable in the covid19 era. A small supply of food can be found in the back of the shop. Here you can find regional goods like honey, jam, oil, wine and other daily needs. Unfortunately nowadays the Shop has been minimized to a very limited number of goods. Instead the number of tables and chairs has grown a lot. Read moreOne of the best bakeries/patisseries we've been to in the whole Portugal. Their pastries are soo tasty, and the shop assistants are very nice people. Their coffee is not bad either. Plus the whole place is really beautiful and pleasant looking. The only downside, at least for us who don't speak much Portuguese, is the fact that you have to remember the pastries you want to order, and then go to a different place in the shop to make the order. Of course I forgot half of it, and couldn't name the other half. It's a bit illogical system. But that's just a nitpick on this...
Read moreOvercrowded, the staff lacked empathy, half of the stuff on the menu were not available, the tables had multiple trays stacked for the majority of time what made it hard to find a table that was clean and without being occupied by people or trays. On top of all of that asked for 2 lattes, one with normal milk and another without. They didn't know which one was which. Food was good and pastries were very fresh. Moral of the story: it's good if you're the sole customer, if the place is full better go to another pastelaria as these guys cannot get organised for...
