I have been coming to this beach bar for 30 plus years, back when it was known as O Amarello. It went from the friendly, cosy, relaxing place you could get a good coffee, drink, toast, ice cream and beer to a wannabe high end overpriced beach Restaurant.
As an example, where one day you could get a good Torrada with the proper bread and loads of butter for less than 3 euro, now you pay 5 euro for the wrong dry bread which is very thinly buttered.
The place has become unpersonal, overpriced and disappointing. Where one day O Amarello was worth a 4 to 5 star review, Yellow Beach only deserves 1 star. The first bottle was nicely chilled, but the second one was served at room temperature. When I asked the waitress why, she explained that the previous one had been the last cold bottle they had in stock.
It’s worth noting that the restaurant was nearly empty, right in the middle of the day. Grilling two burgers properly and serving two cold beers should not be too much to ask. Overall, it wasn’t worth the...
