Best Restaurant in Palmela! We discovered this restaurant through Google looking for somewhere new for lunch and what a surprising delight! The restaurant looks standard from the outside but inside it is cosy and welcoming. We absolutely loved the food and warm, friendly service. The pasta was al dente, (quite unusual for Portugal) and the sauces were rich and flavoursome without being too much on a baking hot day. We ate tuna pasta, spaghetti bolognese, then profiteroles. To drink we had sangria, then gin and tonics. The quality of the ingredients really shines through here, as well as the effort and care taken in dealing with all kinds of customers. This time we had our 2 small dogs with us and were invited to sit in the bar area by the door - so appreciated. Next time, we look forward to returning without dogs and sitting further inside. We are a family of four who had the most lovely meal with friendly, fun and helpful service. Menu is simple but everything you need is there. The tomato and mozzarella was amazing to start. We then each had a lovely pasta dish with big healthy portions followed by a mix of deserts. Amazing value for maxing food. Lovely local restaurant surrounded by the cobbled streets of the old town. The food and atmosphere were great. However, I had an issue with the seating arrangements. I was given a stool to sit on for dinner, and when I requested a chair due to back pain, my request was denied, even though plenty of chairs were available.
