A Truly Memorable Dining Experience at Marginal – Bravo to the Entire Team!

We just had an absolutely fantastic meal at Marginal in Peniche. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet full of energy. But what truly stood out was the exceptional quality of the food — every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

The seafood was especially impressive — perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. It’s clear the kitchen takes great pride in their work. The attention to detail and the balance of traditional flavors with a creative touch made this meal truly unforgettable.

What made the experience even better was the team behind it all. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our night special. It’s rare to feel such harmony between food, service, and atmosphere — and Marginal delivered on all fronts.

A standing ovation to the entire staff — from the chefs to the servers and everyone behind the scenes. You created something special, and I can’t wait to return. Highly...

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Marginal Restaurant, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. We were captivated by this restaurant's breathtaking view from the moment we arrived. Overlooking the water it provided a stunning backdrop for our meal.

Now, onto the food. The seafood stew was a true standout, bursting with flavor and showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. It was a delightful blend of spices and textures. The grilled fish was equally impressive, perfectly cooked, and seasoned to perfection.

What truly sets the Marginal Restaurant apart is the combination of exceptional cuisine and a view that is nothing short of spectacular.

If you're looking for a dining experience that combines great seafood, a stunning view, and impeccable service, I highly recommend the Marginal Restaurant. It's a culinary gem that...

a very nice restaurant Indeed with full of quite original dishes. especially like the fried seabass with risotto that I liked very much. i also ordered garllic prawns which were good. More than appreciative of the service as the staff makes their best to have your waiting time as pleasant as possible with a direct view (westwards from the terrace) to the Berlengas Islands . I spend a heartwarming evening there and would strongly recommend the place. Went there another time and cannot spare my compliments. Such a good and inspired work from the beginning (ceviche de lírio) to the end (coffee cake) with the lirio beautifully grilled and served with rice as main dish. A special culinary experience awaits you there in Peniche with in addition an outstanding set of views on...

I had an extraordinary experience at Marginal Restaurant in Peniche. For starters, I indulged in a delightful combination of flavors with their dried fish salad and baba ganoush, which I ingeniously mixed with their scrumptious bread. The contrast of textures and tastes was a true delight for the palate. The main course, which was nothing short of spectacular, left me in awe. The attention to detail and the exquisite presentation of the dish were truly commendable. I'm eagerly anticipating my next trip to Peniche just to have the pleasure of dining at Marginal Restaurant once again. To the team at Marginal Restaurant, kudos on a job well done! Tudo impecável! Parabéns!

The restaurant's been open for around a year (from Aug 2024 when this review was written) and what a gem of a place. The food was incredible - we had seafood - and the dessert was sublime too. The service too was excellent and we learnt it's a family restaurant and you can tell with the charm and attention to detail. The space and views out to the ocean are stunning and if you can go at sunset, you will be in awe of the golden hour lighting. Their dishes have the Portuguese base with added flair and fusion that don't overwhelm the local fare but take it to the next level. Enjoy the restaurant. Definitely one to look forward to returning to.

Located at the extreme western part of the Peniche peninsula on the ring road on the first floor of the reception of the camping with a view to the Berlengas, Marginal offers a traditional menu, a good wine list in a classic interior with an absolutely unbearable acoustic and a challenged service. We were 3 for lunch that shared the fresh and tasty Mafra bread with a garlic margarine (!?) and olives, a bottle of rose with a generously served vinaigrette lulas on toast as a starter, 2 steak & frites with a vinaigrette mixed salad, porco preto with migas, and a bolo de bolacha with coffee and water at €35/pax.
