Restaurante O Sebastião — Restaurant in Peniche

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the new restaurant in town from a young and talented chef whose path I have been following for some time. Although the space is not huge, with just enough room between tables for comfortable dining.

The menu offers a variety of options, but if you are dining with a group of five or more, it is recommended to take your time and not rush, as the wait for your dishes may be longer if you're not opting for the daily specials.

One thing that impressed me was the bread - it was simply delicious and the tuna patê that accompanied it was also a delightful addition.

For starters, I tried the fried calamari and was pleasantly surprised when the chef suggested the fried mussels, which I had never tried before, but they were delicious.

The shrimp risotto was a standout dish, with a generous portion.

For food lovers, it's worth mentioning that the chef enjoys a challenge and if you have the time, you may be able to request secret menu items, like fried shrimps for starters, which are not listed on the menu.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant and I will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended for anyone looking for...

We had dinner there, the food was good, but steak was cold. It feels a bit posh, but then you get red wine in the glasses for white one, pople around you in hoodies and socka in sandals.. and the servis was really poor. Man who took care of our table was givong us strong feeling, he is not willing to do anything wxtra and the restaurant is full, and for our table was people waiting. He was not really nice.. Nothing extra bad happened, but for a romantic dinner.. meh, felt like here is your food, give us your money and leave so we can welcome...

Today we went to this place because it had great reviews but couldn’t eat there because the waiter brought me soup with his finger in it. I’ve asked for a replacement which he did, he was carrying my soup again when a new customer came in and he put his finger in the soup, again! He saw that I saw it and went back to the kitchen and returned with the same plate but wiped the corner where his finger was. So we left. Maybe the food is great...
