Fishermans Rest — Restaurant in Portimão

We were OK whilst ordering but our starters came apart from 1 which we weren't happy about and they didn't really care about and we asked for it but they still didn't bring it. So then our main courses came two sirloin steaks fish and some peri peri chicken, we we're 110% sure the 'steak' wasn't even meat, we waited 5 mins but my meal still hadn't come but I heard a sexual noise coming from the bathroom which was very uncomfortable, we got fed up and left without me and my mother having eaten any food but was still expensive, all in all a shocking service from the arrogant people (not recommended) never eaten at a place so shocking. Truly local experience. We were in Alvor for one week and tried many restaurants - the fisherman’s stood out for the very family style and typical Portuguese service. Victor was coordinating the room and made sure we never had to wait for anything (something that we can’t say about the other very busy restaurants we went to). This was also the only restaurant where we saw many Portuguese and local customers - it’s not only tourist oriented as many others. Probably the WORST restaurant I have ever been to in Portugal. We visited on 16th April '17 as party of 4 - two chose fish and two went for "sirloin steak". The "steak" was atrocious - definitely not sirloin, in fact we were not 100% it was even beef. The two fish meals (grouper) were extremely small and exceptionally overpriced. Based on the menu rate and the price charged the fish should have weighed circa 400gms each but they were each less than half that. The waitress asked if everything was ok - we said no, it certainly wasn't whereupon she shrugged and gave us the bill. Please avoid this...
