Our recent family outing to Eden Restaurant in Alvor was an absolute joy, offering a perfect blend of delicious food and fun activities! The moment we arrived, we were struck by the lovely, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
The food was truly delightful. As adults, our meals were beautifully prepared and incredibly tasty, showcasing fresh ingredients and wonderful flavors. Our 15-year-old son, who can be quite particular, thoroughly enjoyed his dish, and our 12-year-old daughter was equally pleased with her choice. It's always a win when everyone at the table is happy with their meal, and Eden certainly delivered on that front!
Beyond the fantastic food, we decided to try the mini golf, and it was a brilliant addition to our day! It turned out to be great fun, providing plenty of laughs and a surprising challenge. We initially thought it would be a breeze, but it was not as easy as we first thought, which only added to the enjoyment and competitive spirit! While the €47 for the four of us was a little bit on the expensive side, the sheer enjoyment and entertainment it provided made it a worthwhile part of our overall experience.
The service throughout our visit was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed both at the table and during our mini-golf adventure.
Eden Restaurant offers more than just a meal; it provides a memorable family experience. If you're in Alvor looking for delicious food and a fun activity that everyone can enjoy, Eden is definitely the place to go. We left with full bellies and big smiles, already...
Read moreAs the old saying goes..."Don't judge a book by its cover.". I have to admit, I had already formed an opinion of a restaurant named Golfland based on the business it does with mini-golf and golf simulators. Was I ever wrong. The menu is limited in size, but had something for everyone. Beginning with the gravlax salmon starter of an ever so subtly smokey salmon sliced thicker than usual and served at the perfect temperature for the flesh to be pliable and the fats in it to loosen with no saltiness that typifies most such dishes. Next, I had the linguine with razor clams in a blistered cherry tomato sauce. I was initially disappointed not to have some shaved parmesan on top of the dish or freshly grated offered. No need. This dish stands on its own without the need to mask the flavours with aged dairy. Delicious. My companion had the prawn risotto. Again, seasoning and flavours were absolutely spot on. The rice was perfectly cooked and glistening as a good risotto should and the individual grains were cooked yet had the perfect amount of al dente bite. Another hole in one (pardon the golf reference). Unfortunately, my companion was feeling a bit under the weather so we skipped dessert. We'll need to stop back for a glass of wine and their made in house chocolate mousse. I cannot recommend this...
Read moreVery disappointed. we thought it would be a place with a big pool, and several saunas, but they have only one small pool, and 1 tiny sauna for just a few people. There is only 1 small cabin to change clothes, and people stay in there for a long time, don't know what they do there..? So had to wait 15 minutes before I could put my swimsuit on. Yes, you can also do that in the toilet, but that was also occupied for 15 minutes. It was a quit day, but when it is busy, people are lying very close upon each other on the sunbeds. Too many beds for such a small place. The beds are very good. The Minigolf looks very nice, but 12 euro for 1 round is too much. Will not go back there. Better go to the beach foe some sun, it will save you...
