Give credit where credit is due these guys Ruben front of house and Nuno chef/owner.We ate here 3 nights out of our weeks stay,These guys are THAT good!!(Read my other reviews,I do not give fake reviews as you'll see lol)The steak was full of flavour and cooked to a perfect medium rare,the beef burger was absolutely to die for and the chicken burrito was the best I've ever had,sorry the fries/chips made from Belgium potatoes are simply STUNNING, full of flavour!! When I go back to Portimao I'll be eating here EVERY single day as we tried other restaurants down the strip and they could NOT hold a candle to the Funky cafe.Nuno? I’ve visited the Funky Lounge twice now, and both times were a great. Their wings are a must-try – perfectly cooked and slathered in a delicious BBQ sauce. On my first visit, I opted for the classic ham and cheese toastie, which hit the spot, while my wife enjoyed a quesadilla. The second time around, we both dove headfirst into their chicken masala, and let me tell you, we were seriously impressed. The flavors were spot-on, and the portion size was perfect for a satisfying meal. While we didn’t try their burgers they looked great and were told they were amazing.

If you're looking for a place with a cool vibe, great food at fair prices, then Funky Lounge Cafe is the spot for you! I highly recommend...

We visited 3 days in February 2023. The food is excellent and has a lot of locals eating there. One night it was very busy with what seemed a large local family and we were made feel very welcome . I think the owner does all the cooking and one man front of house . The service was excellent. Because it was quiet around praia da rocha and surrounding area my wife found it impossible to get a cocktail anywhere but even though this restaurant was very busy they made time to make her a plna colada which she said was delicious.
