Stayed in Portimaõ for 2 weeks and this was the worst restaurant we went to. The chairs, menus, glasses, and utensils were all filthy. The son of the owner was actually embarrassed to service us dirty menus. They serve us wine that tasted like vinegar. They just came out with the wine in a glass and not like most places where they bring you the bottle and let you taste it before pouring a full glass. After this I was ready to leave, but we were very hungry. The food was surprisingly better than the service but not by much.

Read moreReally disappointed by this restaurant and I’d advise everyone to avoid it. We ate lunch here. The place was relatively empty but it still took 45 minutes for them to serve our meal. It then took another 30 minutes to get the bill after we finished. The 2 male waiting staff were rude and clearly hated their jobs. The food was ok but overpriced for the relatively mediocre quality. My steak was fine but the fries were already cold and chewy when they arrived. The spaghetti carbonara was nothing special and a really small portion.

Read moreIt was a wet January evening in Portimao. This was one of the few restaurants open and it looked inviting from the outside. So pleased we ventured in as the meal and service were superb. Had beautifully grilled garlic prawns followed by a very tasty seafood cataplana, a local type of fish stew. The very helpful Leticia explained about the dish prior to us ordering, which helped. I had a local dessert which looked like custard with a soft meringue on top, also delicious. The meal was washed down with two lovely jugs of Sangria.
