Pastelaria Arade — Restaurant in Portimão

Beautiful little Pastelaria in typical portuguese style. We went there to try different portuguese pastry and it was an interesting experience. Some were very delicious, other not our taste and something to get used to. A great place to have dessert! And apparently one of the oldest in town too. I tried their Dom Rodrigo which is a traditional Portuguese dessert made with eggs and cinnamon. Delicious!! I thought it had grated carrots or something, it didn’t taste like egg at all. But really really good. This is one of the most remarkable regional pastry spot on Algarve. In my perspective, this is one of the milestones of the ancient portuguese pastry, re-interpreted nowadays. It's owner os deeply concerned on preserving this ADN tradition at today's taste.
