The food was as close to authentic as you could get for not being in Vietnam. We live in the eastcoast US (1 hour from NYC and 2 hours from Philadelphia). Our choices are plenty there so I am comparing the food at this restaurant to back at home. Pho was good. Bun Thit Nuong was good. Both were definitely comparable to most authentic restuarants I could find in the eastcoast US. Bun Bo Hue was the best I have had! The traditional dessert Che Troi Nuoc was a rare fine. I cannot even find that at restaurants in the eastcoast. We also had Vietnamese food in Lisbon and Madrid. This place far exceed them by mutiple times over. If I am only able to give 5 stars here, I would rate our experience in Lisbon 1 star and Madrid 2 stars. We were also able to talk to the owners and were very inspired by them. We admire their talent and hard working ethic. We will definitely return for the great authentic Vietnamese food and...
Read moreI made a reservation for this restaurant online. Just 2 minutes before my reservation time, I got an email saying that they had canceled my reservation. They were very rude, and told me to go away, because I didn't have a reservation and they did not have any room for me, even though the restaurant was completely empty at the time. They did not apologize, they did not offer any alternative, and as a result, I ended up going elsewhere, and missing the show that I had planned to go to afterwards. This restaurant obviously has no idea how to manage reservations, and appears to have no idea about good customer service. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the quality of their food, and I very seriously doubt I will ever go back to be able to...
Read moreI have no idea how this place has high ratings. The pho tai barely had any meat and they didn't even provide the sides that come with pho (jalapeños, basil, lime slices). I have never been to a pho place that does not provide this.
Secondly, the wait for the food (3 bowls of pho) was more than 40+ minutes and we were the first customers at the restaurant.
Third, the women's bathroom was dirty. The toilet had stains and there was old trash in the trash bin. I figured since we were the first customers and they JUST opened for lunch that their bathrooms would be clean.
The waiter was nice but that's about it. I wouldn't come back here again, especially if you have high...
