Restaurante Eldorado — Restaurant in Porto

If you’re a foreigner or not familiar with Portuguese language and food, do not go to this restaurant.

What seemed like a friendly recommendation turned out to be almost a forced upsell, and two of us ended up paying over €150.

Even though we said we couldn’t drink more than a glass because we already had a bottle of wine, they ignored us and opened another bottle anyway.

They served dishes without telling us the prices, and later I found out from other reviews that locals never pay more than €50 here. It became clear that this place makes its money by overcharging outsiders.

Our host had recommended it, but after hearing what happened, he was shocked and kept apologizing.
