The space is cozy and the background music playlist is excellent. The service is professional. The prices are fair, except the temaki, which is rather small for what you pay. Now when it comes to the food… they have 3 menus: 1 mostly sushi rolls, 1 fusion and 1 original. I picked the fusion one to try a bit of both worlds. It was well prepared, well presented and fresh.

Things I loved: the service, the food and the tempura ice cream. Things I didn’t like: the salmon misu, had only 1 small piece of salmon and the rest was pieces of tofu… Things to improve: size of the temaki; have a bigger option for the ice cream tempura (was delicious but rather small); salmon dose on of the fried rolls (barely any salmon); real wasabi.

Overall,...

Thieves live across the street from this restaurant. They stole from us at the beach and we tracked them with the find my phone app. When we asked the manager of the restaurant for any info and/or help, he was of no help whatsoever, and the only thing he had to say to us was that we couldn't be without shirts inside the restaurant. When the police came and asked if we could see the front camera footage, he said that the camera wasn't working and was only there for the show (which is probably true). They're food is probably good, I don't know, but the manager was rude and had no empathy for us. And also, thieves in the neighborhood, so we do not recommend...

Perhaps ok if you got a crave for imported frozen fish, but their service is horrible. Would not pick up the phone. So we could not place a reservation. When arriving without one, the young waiter stammered about his boss, that fish cannot be eaten hygienically in open air on their terrace, that take-away is also not possible at the moment, despite it being advertised on their website and so on and so forth. It made us wholeheartedly regret having had a crave for Japanese food on Terceira. Karma I suppose, so after this Ginsu "concept" desaster we re-centered our focus on discovering the amazing local cuisine. So at the least: thanks for setting our...

My expectations were high after reading the comments, and it is a very nice experience. For the Azores, it would be a 5 star review to have sushis in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately, the sushis did not stood out compared to others i have eaten and although they were good, they were not exceptional. We took the 32 pieces fusion combo. That being said, the shrimp springroll were to die for! And my cocktail (big boss gin) was also incredible. You have to book in advance, otherwise rarely available.

This place should have 5 stars. All of the food was so fresh and well-presented. The staff were attentive and polite. I have Coeliac disease and they communicated with the chef to find out what I could and couldn’t eat from the menu. I had the ceviche and traditional sushi platter, my partner had the shrimp tempura, chicken gyoza and Fusion platter. It was all delicious! We would come back in a heartbeat. Don’t be put off by the closed door upon entry- they’re just keeping the place air-conditioned.
