Today, we had the pleasure of dining at Restaurante Avenida while exploring the charming streets of downtown São Brás de Alportel.
We opted for the plate of the day, a veal stew, and a chicken dish, and I must say, each plate was exceptional. The veal stew was hearty and rich, bursting with flavors that spoke to the traditional Portuguese cuisine. Every bite was a testament to the chef’s skill, and it was clear that quality ingredients were used throughout. The chicken plate was equally delightful, perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. We were so engrossed in our meals that we left no scraps behind—always a sign of a fantastic dining experience!
What further enhanced our visit was the prompt and attentive service. Our waitress was incredibly kind and patient, gently navigating our limited Portuguese vocabulary. It’s worth noting that Restaurante Avenida thoughtfully provides menus posted on the wall, including an English version, which made ordering much easier and more enjoyable for us.
The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, giving diners the option to soak in the vibrant atmosphere of São Brás while enjoying their meal. A small point to remember is that they only accept cash, so it’s best to be prepared before you go.
Overall, our lunch at Restaurante Avenida was a delightful experience that showcased the best of Portuguese cuisine and hospitality. We left with satisfied appetites and fond memories, eager to return in the future to explore more of their wonderful menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a taste of authentic local flavors in a...
Read moreThe best chicken in São Brás de Alportel for sure! I have tried other dishes however I go especially for the Frango Assado which is a plate of food I truly love to eat here.
Service times can be longer if the restaurant is full however, you can't complain as you can always grab a drink and socialise with your guests at dinner whilst it's cooked and delivered to your table.
We have always seen people we know and take friends and family here whenever they come to visit São Brás de Alportel.
Enjoy when you visit this restaurant P.s. Not that I'm biased but... Try the...
