Not in the centre most bit of Santana and the traditional houses - about a 5min walk - which means it's much more relaxed. We took a hot dog and a large beef pieces with fries. Suggestion: Large = LARGE! So unless you're truly starving and have one massive appetite, i would suggest you share this between 2 persons, or get a small or medium portion. I HIGHLY underestimated the word 'Large' and I struggled to finish the plate... and I'm a big eater! Food was nice, loved the meat, and the sauce was divine! The Hotdog was nice too, comes with a load of tiny crunchy fries which give the hotdog some nice textures! Very well priced!

We ordered hamburger, fries, egg and coffee. The lady at the counter was really sweet because I changed my order later and she did not make a fuss about it. Coffee was served promptly but we had to wait about 20mins for the food although the restaurant was not crowded (possibly around 8pax including us). So make sure you have the time if the restaurant is crowded. We like the sesame bun used for the burger. It is so fragrant. The slice of ham was also something additional that we did not expect. The chips were thick and crisp. We couldn't finish them and packed them to go. Overall food was very good. Will recommend.

I have to say I had food in many places all around the island including Santana, but the food here is nothing like the other places, the meat is very tender, they have a big menu of variety of food, I have tried a few and this is definitely a guaranted stop to have a meal, the price is affordable and the quality is top, the service is also really good and everyone is very kind and welcoming, if you are around I would recommend you to try the Francesinha since in Santana there is no other places that makes it this good 👍

I have to say I had food in many places all around the island including Santana, but the food here is nothing like the other places, the meat is very tender, they have a big menu of variety of food, I have tried a few and this is definitely a guaranted stop to have a meal, the price is affordable and the quality is top, the service is also really good and everyone is very kind and welcoming, if you are around I would recommend you to try the Francesinha since in Santana there is no other places that makes it this good 👍

Really good and fun experience.

The atmosphere is super chill and relaxing with a local atmosphere, we sat on a bench outside and it was perfect. The food was surprisingly good, clearly focused on locals with fair prices and generous portion sizes.

The waitress was super friendly and attentive, always smiling and chatting casually, which made the experience even better. I ordered the Chicken Prego Especial no Bolo do Caco and it was amazing, tender juicy meat, crispy bolo do caco, and a portion size that more than filled me up (two of my friends couldn’t even finish theirs).

Overall, I can only say positive things, a cozy, local cafe/restaurant that really gives you an authentic Madeira experience.

Had a great lunch with friends. We were sad our Airbnb...
