We were really looking forward to trying this pizzeria after seeing so many glowing reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing — from the food to the service, ambience, and location.
The restaurant is right on a busy main road, with constant traffic and exhaust fumes. Sitting outside felt more like being on the side of a highway than at a cozy dinner spot.
They seemed clearly understaffed. We waited a long time just to get our drinks, and the waitress taking our order didn’t seem very competent or attentive. Throughout our meal, people were constantly walking in and out to pick up takeaway orders, which was quite disruptive and made the atmosphere feel chaotic.
As for the food — sadly, the pizza was not appetizing in appearance, and the taste didn’t make up for it either. It was a real letdown. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the dough itself, which had potential.
What surprised me the most was the sign outside claiming the place is one of the “Top 50 Pizzerias in the World” — Casa Borba Pizzaria colocada entre os 50 melhores do mundo!! Estou a falar das melhores pizzas em Setúbal. Em suma nem com uma critica sabem lidar, continua a rir e a goza na cara dos clientes que te pagam o negócio que chegas longe.
