Bang. An experienced google map user aren’t you? You just found sintra’s sweet spot. Exceptional atmosphere, hospitality and quality. An authentic local restaurant. Traditional food made with love. Dishes are pricey but huge and meant to be shared. The chicken soup was one of the best I ever had. The fillet steak was beautifully prepared, the lamb chops, the beef skewer and the veal escalope too. The elegant and smooth local wine not to be missed. The place is packed with local families so it is better to reserve a place in advance. The waiters (probably family members) are super friendly and helpful. TIP: the number of main courses to order should be one-two less than the number of people in your group. For example if you are a family of 4, order 3 dishes. The portions...

This place is AMAZING! The waiters are so pleasant, fun and welcoming. The Food is out of the ordinary! Me and my friend had a unintentionally shared plate of veal, which was really good, but when we saw that our other friends had more food then what was on their plate, I asked out of curiosity if we were suppose to have more, when they realized we originally ordered one each, they apologized and wanted to gives us more. We politely declined, because we were already full, but they came later with a delicious plate of mushroom and shrimp in a cream sauce, as an apology. When I saw it, the first thing I could think of was: that’s nice but I don’t like shrimp nor mushroom. I tasted it, and it was heaven on earth. I loved it and even went for a...

Very disappointing! I know this restaurant since I was a kid. It used to be so good. Wanted to revisited and take my husband for a nice lunch. We went on a Friday for lunch. Restaurant was busy but not full. Waited almost 1 hour to get our food. It was very tasty but small portion and loads of bones, for the price that it is charged. You really need to improve the service and re-think about the way of serving the food. We know that "cabrito" has bones but please don't serve just bones and almost no meat and charge an outrageous price for it. I don't mind paying a bit more than average but I expect a good service and a decent portion of food. It is a pity that's your standards...

came here with a big group on my tour of sintra with a cruise ship. the food was ok, nothing special. we were welcomed with bread (which i didn’t eat), olives, prosciutto and sheep cheese. the cheese was good, the olives were bitter and the prosciutto was terrible, hard to chew and stale. then we were served a kind of soup with one piece of chorizo which was actually not bad. next came a plate with veal, which was very tender, veggies, rice and spinach. the dessert was a bit lazy in my opinion, i was expecting something more traditional.

Amazing Portuguese food and we thoroughly enjoyed the kebabs and the side accompaniments. Food is on the pricey side but we were staying nearby and everything else was closed. It was neat history to find out this place has been in business for 75 years. They do place the appetizers in front of you without ordering so make sure you don’t touch it unless you want it or tell them to take it away. We had the olives and enjoyed them.
