Tábuas honest food — Restaurant in Sintra

A bit pricey for the area, but tasty and fresh. Brought my teen son and his two friends here after their visit to Lisbon. They all loved their food. The cheeses were very good on the charcuterie board, the Sunday brunch was a set menu, and the desserts were great. I had the stuffed portobello - smaller than I would have liked for the price, but it was good. It's a family run restaurant (the server told me his mom makes all the food). Atmosphere nice, lots of young families - we sat on the patio. Service a little slow but understandable and worth the wait. Lunch for four was 87 euro. This place is awesome! We went here twice during our stay in Sintra because we had such a great time during our first visit and our second visit was even better. The food is really good and tasteful, while the prices remain quite low. But what really made our visit special was that the staff and owner were extremely friendly and interested. The atmosphere was great as well and both times we visited the restaurant was completely full, so a reservation is recommended. Excellent and delicious!

Perfect hosts, willing to adjust and work with some food restrictions. The food was delicious and full of flavour, the drinks were flowing and tasting perfect.

If you're looking for something simple and delicious that isn't going to break the bank. This is the place for you.

In terms of cost, it cost us around €142 even with everyone having starters and mains.

Plus two giant jugs of sangria! And desserts. So that's about €24 each and for the quality, I would have happily paid...
