Although the entire area is known for it Bifanas (basically a pork sandwich) there's something about the food in this place that stands out from the other.
This is not a big place, it's a small joint with something like 5 people serving and 3 cooking. Yes, it takes 3 people to cook everyday, and you'd be surprised if you say just how many (little) tables are there.
All I can, and have to say about this place, I can do so in just this one sentence: Every once in a while I'll travel from Lisbon to this place just to eat the damn bifanas!

I think I already reviewed this place once, but might as well do it again to be sure. So yes, it is that good. The star of the show is the pork sandwich, of course, which I recommended to have with a bit of mustard. But do your soul a favour and warm your heart by asking for one of their soups. The Caldo Verde and the tomato soup are my favourite.
As for deserts, regardless of how many times I try to convince myself that I don't need one, I always end up having the Farófias....

The classic bifanas came after and I must say now I know why all the buzz. Simple and great. Had to order another one. If you're going that way, I recommend you stopping by chaminé. The space is nothing to remember, and you probably will have to wait in line but in the end...
