Here you’ll find authentic and delicious Portuguese food at very fair prices, served in a beautifully designed and welcoming interior. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, making it a great spot to unwind.

My personal favourite is the Francesinha – a hearty sandwich packed with layers of meat, topped with melted cheese and smothered in a rich, slightly spicy sauce. It’s usually served with chips and is both filling and full of flavour.

The Aquário is not just a restaurant – it’s also home to the Vianalocals Surfshop, which is part of the Duotone Pro Center Viana do Castelo. So while you’re waiting for your food, there’s time to browse for your next piece of gear or accessories.

All in all, the Aquário is a place I keep coming back to – a laid-back spot that perfectly rounds off...

One of the best restaurant-bars in Viana.

Located right next to Praia do Cabedelo, Aquario offers unparalleled peace of mind and relaxation. Ideal for an afternoon or evening coffee, it also has excellent crepes and other good snack options.

This is the favourite space for all beach sports enthusiasts, like me, where we can enjoy a swim next to the terrace and then cool off at Aquario.

It should be noted that next to the bar, there is a shop selling surfing equipment, paddle tennis, etc., and sports clothing brands. It's excellent.

Top spot! We've been coming for a few years now and it never disappoints. Can get busy so worthwhile to book ahead. Service is excellent as is the food. Today we had steak which was superb as was the Bacalhau. NB The steak was €20 on its own (I think the most expensive thing on the menu), the Bacalhau was the prato do dia so €12.50, including a drink, soup, starter and coffee so excellent value. It's not obvious what the dish of the day is so it's better to ask. We also had apple pie with ice cream which was also delicious. Lots of choice for...
