You would not expect that much from this place if you only look at the outside. But all the seafood come straight out of the sea and therefore super fresh. You can pick your own ‘fish of the day’ and they weigh it in front of you (we had the sea bass) so you know what to expect and get. The mussels were also incredibly delicious… everything was just great, even the crunchy french fries! You can definitely tell that these were fried in ‘fresh’ oil. And do not forget the staff.. they are patient, make you feel at home, very welcoming! You can see that they are dedicated to this restaurant. Would definitely recommend and come back. And… from their restaurant you can have a look at the seafood auction! Takes place everyday at half past 3.

We came 40 minutes by car from our location to eat here and we weren't disappointed. It's a very busy place so be prepared to wait around an hour. But I can assure you that you won't regret it. You can have a walk around while your table is ready. The fish is fresh as the location of this restaurant is on top of a fish processing place and if you'll eat inside you'll have the view on that place. The food was delicious, the prices are good, the services excellent and the waiter very friendly. Overall the experience was wonderful, we really enjoyed our stay here. We recommend this place if you have the opportunity to pay them a visit. Definitely we will return whenever we'll have the chance. Obrigado!

The fish was good but nothing exceptional, and the prices are extremely high. We had better fish elsewhere for much cheaper in other cities on the southern coast. For reference, we buy 1kg of dorade at the market for 16€ maximum, they serve it for 60€/kg. That’s excessive. The service isn’t great in the sense that they don’t warn you that some things are out of stock. Regardless of this high price, we didn’t really have a choice as to the fish we could pick. Then the salad was also finished and they brought us some boiled vegetables without asking or warning. The prices don’t match the service nor the environment.

Awesome place for a fish meal. The staff is quick, organized and polite even though there is quite some traffic with customers. "Fish of the day" can be inspected by yourself and then chosen to be grilled for you on charcoal outside - delicious. A special treat: when you get there around 2:30 p.m., ask for an indoor table, so you will be able to look down to fish hall where local fishermen bring in, weigh and sort their catch starting by 3:00 p.m. (only during the week). Sometimes you have to wait outside for a table as there is so much traffic, but definitely worth it.

If you enjoy fresh fish, well, it doesn't get any fresher than this. The boats bring in the freshly caught fish and seafood and moments later you can enjoy that same fish or seafood in this quaint restaurant situated right at the harbour. The terrace is covered, so you can sit in the shade. The place itself is not very cozy, but clearly you come here for the food. The dishes are prepared really simple and that's perfect, because you want to taste the fish as pure as possible. Dishes are served with potatoes and some salad. Definitely value for money.

Fantastic bar/restaurant at the fisherman’s port in Baleeira/Sagres. You can see and follow the fish auction (that’s in the same building) from inside the bar… . You can go there and to just have a drink, but also for extensive fish dishes. It’s a pity that they are closed for dinner ! Very friendly and helpful staff (speaking and understand good English). Recommended to pay a visit and to drink or eat something while enjoying the view… price/quality wise more than ok ! It’s also nice to see the fisherman’s activities around the place !
