Met the only unfriendly Portuguese person on our holidays in this dump. Went to this very place seven years ago, went back today and nothing has changed! My kids went in and were looking at ice cream, an obnoxious, small, roundy shaped woman came out shouting. She said something disparaging in Portuguese about us to a local and they laughed. We had been very disappointed at menus at other restaurants in Sagres being very limited with local delicacies and open on a Monday night in October, and were giving up to go back to our hotel when we chanced on this authentic gem. We almost passed this place up for a fancier place with a beach patio. I am so glad we didn't. The food here is excellent.
