Ordered two coffees.. My grandmother accidentally split hers as we walked to the next table and burnt her leg. The cup was boiling and she screamed out. We asked in Portuguese and English for anything to help her relieve the burn on the legs or dry up the spill.. paper towel, a wet napkin, anything. He signed in annoyance, said he had 'nothing'and ignored us, proceeding to clean up the spill exclusively on the ground with no other assistance for my very injured grandmother with second degree burns. He mopped the floor silently pushing my grandmother out of the way (who was still trying to cool down the boiling coffee that was soaked into ner pants and was still asking him for help) while i had to go behind the counter nyself to get napkins, the whole time he gave us a horrible look, like we were the ones to ruin his day. The morning guy has ZERO people skills and I would recommend you avoid this place at all costs. No apology, no intention to help, our misfortune was his inconvenience, and no offer to replace the coffee. Looking back I wish I threw ny coffee in his face. He deserved it and if this is any indication of their regular service, they don't deserve a single euro of...

My kids that are ages 3-5 wanted an ice cream from another store on the side and my husband went with them while I ordered our pastries and cafes, my husband made it back to the table with the kids with the ice cream from the other store & the owner angry says they’re not allowed to eat there because it’s not from there cafe . My husband stated “my wife is inside ordering the cafes and pastries ,” and she angry stated it wasn’t allowed for two little small kids to sit and eat on plastic chairs. RIDICLOUS !!! Then when we were leaving she stated that we should’ve eat and then got the kids the ice creams … OK!!! Who is gonna control two toddlers wanting ice cream. Horrible service

Read moreI love this Pastelaria! It was the first place we visited when we came to Salema several years ago and was part of our inspiration to explore living here. We try to have a small breakfast here once a week because the quiche Lorraine is fantastic and the coffee is quite delicious. It is always busy and they do a great job keeping things moving while still serving hot and delicious food. Make sure you don't plan a visit on Thursday because that is the day they are closed! Merci beaucoup for another fantastic...
