Sakurai — Restaurant in Vila Nova de Gaia

Sakurai is a cheap option for sushi with good quality. It sits right next to Soares dos Reis park and school and near the main Vila Nova de Gaia avenue.

The service is great, servers are extremely nice and quick. The food is very good considering the price and has plenty of variety as well. In my opinion the food starts lacking on the noodles side, they look and taste quite cheap and careless but if you're only in for the sushi, there's no problem.

Another issue can be parking but you do have some street parking and a paid parking...

The food was great. Not giving 5 stars because of the service.. It was our first time trying Sushi so the waitress could've been more helpful 😕 Asked for ice to keep the wine bottle cool and she never came back, ended up asking a different waitress TWICE and we still didn't get it, I did ask if they had it and I was told yes. They just never bothered to bring it. To be fair they were busy, so maybe hire extra help for busy nights?? I would still like to return again to see if maybe we just got a bad...

Em um determinado sábado eu tive o desprazer de conhecer esse restaurante, fiz alguns pedidos, cardápio com pouquíssimas variedades, lugar pequeno, não tem funcionários direito pra atender as poucas pessoas que cabem no estabelecimento, enfim. Entre os meus pedidos, veio um “yakisoba”, que eu nunca vi igual, péssimo, além de horroroso aspecto, puro sal, sem o mínimo de ingredientes que um yakisoba leva, pedir pra devolver, saiu um senhor de dentro do caixa, imagino q o msm é o dono, veio gritando falando q eu n poderia devolver pq “custava dinheiro” entre outras coisas q foi falado pelo msm, todos olhando pra mim, simplesmente falei, não vou comer pq está salgado e péssimo. Ele continuou me indagando. Virou as costas e me trouxe a conta. Me mandou embora. Sim, me mandou embora. E assim foi por 3x consecutivas. Talvez por eu ser brasileira, mas q n justifica. N pedi o livro de reclamação, pq eu tinha certeza q ele me negaria e a confusão seria bem maior. Enfim. Deixo aqui o meu desabafo desse péssimo lugar. Nunca vi um restaurante japonês tão ruim e desqualificado. Não indico nunca na vida. Primeira...
