The Corte Inglés de Gaia, is a department store which has a wide number of products aiming at all types of customers, including home repair to high fashion. It also includes restaurants, a food court, a gourmet corner and a high end supermarket. In its building you will find the only Starbucks of the Porto region and several advantages to international tourist (don't forget to ask for the international tourist card). Although, prices are above or well above average (to be fair the brands available tend to be high end) when compare to most shopping malls of the region, the constant sale opportunities makes it a must stop place for shopping. It is 6 floor high with 5 basement levels so plan to be there for a while. It also counts with a large capacity parking lot (not free) and can be reached by metro. If planning to make multiple purchases I recommend requesting a "cartão de compras," or shopping card, which will have them take all your purchases during your shopping experience to the -1 floor during your stay, so that you can collect them all and pay for them in one convenient step. I had an excellent experience with the Dior Beauty team at El Corte Inglés in Gaia. I initially purchased a Dior cologne that smelled fantastic for the first few days but soon started to project less strongly and lasted for a shorter time. After comparing my bottle with a tester at another fragrance store, I realized mine was noticeably weaker.

About 10 days later, I returned to the store to share my concern. Beatrize immediately recognized me and attentively listened to my issue. She involved her colleague, Alice, who carefully compared my bottle with their store sample. After a quick and straightforward investigation, they confirmed my cologne was from a bad batch and replaced it with a bottle from a different batch, free of charge.

One of the biggest mall in Gaia with many varieties of products. The place is wheelchair accessible.

Location The location is near the city center of Gaia. In front of the mall, there is a metro station. It is easy to reach by public transportation, our own vehicle, or walking.

Parking They have paid parking and it is a bit difficult to find free parking near the building.

They have El Corte Inglês supermarket, restaurant, and stores selling many kinds of products (gadget, computer, clothes, car, cosmetics, toys, wallet, bags, and many more). The place is so clean, spacious, and neat. They accept payment in cash or card. They have website if you prefer to buy things online. They will send your order to your home.

About price? You pay what you get. You just need to compare with others store if you think it is too expensive before buying.
