It's a nice place to go during the week for a meal. In this case, squid skewer, side of salad and pork steak. The menu is big but very basic in terms os side dishes. All the food is grilled and cooked on the spot, but, for some reason it was served warmish - it would be better to be served hot. Eating those two olives was an expensive reflex as it cost us €1,30. This is a great restaurant with authentic Portuguese food and incredible prices. It opens for dinner at seven and we were early so we sat at the bar and had a drink. We watched as they prepared food for the evening. They use a charcoal grill for cooking and we saw them cut steaks from a fresh side of beef right behind the counter butcher style. So to be honest, I read some of the reviews and was a bit skeptical… but we gave it a try anyway. All I can say was that it is fantastic! The service was pretty nice, the waiter spoke English, explained any question I had about the food and also gave me a little overview of the wine. I would give them 5 stars for service. Very good! The food was also great, yes it’s a little more expensive than a normal local, but it’s freshly grilled… I think it is worth it!! I love this place.. 100% will be a regular customer...
