Good day. I’m not usually the type to give bad reviews, but what we experienced at Max’s B Ring Road on October 28, 2025, was really disappointing. We traveled all the way from Al Khor to Doha craving Bangus Belly Sinigang, only to find out it wasn’t available that day. That’s fine, we understand.
So we ordered Kare Kare, Chopsuey, and Beef Sisig instead. First disappointment: our order took over 40 minutes to arrive. The table beside us, who came after us, got their food first. Fine, maybe their dishes were easier to cook. But then a group of 20+ people who came late for a birthday celebration got served before us. Papano po na-iserve yung order nila before us? I understand if it was pre-ordered but how can a restaurant ignore 3 dishes and serve a bunch for a group of ppl first? If you were in our situation, wouldn’t that be frustrating?
Then the food itself was disappointing. Kare Kare had only two small pieces of oxtail and a little tripe. We almost didnt have a taste of the meat since it was too boney. The taste was really bland, like watered down peanut butter. We had to add shrimp paste para lang magkalasang sisig. It DOESN’T taste like kare kare at all.
The Beef Sisig tasted okay, but there was way too much onion that it overpowered the beef. My husband called it Onion Sisig.
The Chopsuey had mostly cabbage, unevenly cut, and way too much sauce, so the vegetables were basically drowning. The chicken pieces were uneven too, some big, some really thin.
The only positive was our waiter, who was super attentive and apologetic. Kudos to him.
Mga kabayan na nasa kusina, kung kayo po ang customer na nakatikim sa sinerve niyo, panigurado magrereklamo po kayo. Paki ayos naman po ang luto....

This is my second time to eat in this branch and it still didn't disappoint me. The food always tastes good. The service is fast and friendly. The place is clean, smells good and follows covid protocols too.
If you are craving for a filipino food or wanna taste a filipino food, then, this should be on your list.
Must try are the pansit canton, chicken or beef sisig, kare kare, beef bulalo, lumpiang shanghai, pinakbet and leche flan.
We tried the puto bumbong but sadly it didn't taste like the usual puto bumbong in the Philippines. However, most of the food are great. Will definitely come back again.
P. S The serving per food is good for 2 to 3 persons. The price is affordable and if you have my book, entertainer and vodafone my book then it's a plus coz they honor it too. So, perfect for cheap...
