Some may say it's a fancy restaurant, I would say it looks oriental, nice, but the fancy part is coming from location as it's in the north side of Bucharest, an expensive area. The placemats had holes and not very clean, I didn't appreciate those. There was no hanger, we had to put our coats on the back of the chair. The chairs are uncomfortable without a pillow, however the waiter was nice and brought me one. We waited quite long time for the food to come, but it was worth it. We had hummus with pine buds, with truffles, tabbouleh (generous portion), beef with Philadelphia cheese (We thought it's a dip, but it was just beef with melted cheese on top, some roasted bell peppers and pickles), warakinab (dates and other ingredients rolled in vine leaves - good as taste, a bit too acidic for me also due to pomegranate seeds), Adana kebab and batata maclube (roasted potatoes with a lot of garlic), vine leaf rolls with muton meat. The dessert was tasty, we had knafeh (mozzarella with fried noodles, pistachios) which was delicious and creme brulee with ice cream, refreshing and delicious. We also wanted to take away the leftovers as they were tasting amazing. The waiters have strange behavior. Now they are a little grumpy, in the next minutes they help us take a seat (a lady always appreciates the nice gesture). Overall we had a good time there, delicious food, a bit expensive however it's worthy. Oriental music was completing...

Visited Mandaloun with a group of 10, and while the food itself was quite good and the atmosphere pleasant at first, the experience quickly turned into a nightmare once the bill arrived. We were charged over $60 per person, which was completely unjustified for what we ordered. We had specifically asked for mixed starters for 4 people (twice, to cover 8 people), but instead of that, the restaurant served us multiple individual dishes, inflating the bill massively. On top of that, they added a compulsory 10% service charge, then tried to convince us to pay an additional 15% optional service charge.Worse still, we were even charged for items we didn’t order. Luckily, we had photos of our plates before eating, and only when confronted with this evidence did they admit their mistake. Shockingly, their first “solution” was to offer us a plate of sweets instead of a refund, claiming the money had already "gone to the company." After a heated exchange on our behalf, we did eventually get a cash refund, but needless to say, our evening was already ruined.Poor service, deceptive billing practices, and a dismissive attitude towards customers left us all feeling scammed. None of us will ever return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place if you don’t want to risk being overcharged or manipulated.

I have attached the bill to confirm everything I have...

I was visiting for the first time in Bucharest. I love live performances and live music. I was recommended this restaurant and so I made a booking. Decor is beautiful and live arabic music is great. Unfortunately the performance is only in the middle so you cannot see anything unless you are sat on the upper deck area. On the night we went to the restaurant, the staff were pretty rude from the beginning and spoilt our mood. I had made a booking but they assumed I hadn't, then they found that I did indeed book but sat us in a unsuitable location of the restaurant, when I made the booking I specified I am mainly coming for the live performances and so I would love to have a seat where I can see that (I made the booking approximately 3 weeks in advance). Unfortunately we were sat on the lower area, when I asked if we could have a better seat they just stated this is all they had. The waiters were very cold and unwelcoming and very dismissive, we ordered our food and one of my partners dishes didnt arrive, we queried it and they said it was coming. 30 minutes passed and it didn't come, by that time we had finished eating and so there was no point by then, the experience wasn't great so we just wanted to leave. It is such a shame as we had planned to spend the whole evening there but we decided to leave and go somewhere else to enjoy the rest...

Mandaloun is a fantastic Lebanese restaurant located in the heart of Bucharest. I had the pleasure of dining here recently and I must say that the experience was exceptional. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with its stylish decor and comfortable seating. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. As for the food, it was simply outstanding. The menu offered a wide range of authentic Lebanese dishes, from savory appetizers to mouth-watering entrees. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. I particularly enjoyed the hummus, falafel, and shawarma, but everything we tried was delicious. The portions were generous, so we ended up taking some of our food home with us. The prices were also very reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the level of service. Overall, I would highly recommend Mandaloun to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Bucharest. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, and I look forward to returning soon.
