Marty City — Restaurant in Cluj Metropolitan Area

The food at all Marty restaurants is bad. I have went there so may times, gave so many chances for the past 2 years, at Marty restaurant in Piața Muzeului, Unirii, Platinia and Iulius Mall. But I am sick of this.

The drinks and food are overpriced just because they are a brand in Cluj. It might have been the case 10 years ago but now, they have no right reasons for the brand to still be seen as a top one. The quality of the food is really bad. Low quality ingredients, taste as if they have been in the freezer for days and days. By the time the food is on the table is cold. And you can really taste the low quality cooking. Plaiting is as if we are eating in the worst canteen. Cafeteria food is more tasty and I love Memo 10 food for example. I am not picky with food. But if I got to a restaurant, I expect the best and to get the services that I pay for. Service is bad because people that work there tend to pe cocky about it, even if they really have no reason to be like that.

The reason I'm writing this review now is because of my experience at Marty Iulius Mall a few days ago. I went there for breakfast and I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The piece of braid with eggs came swimming in hollandaise sauce, absolutely gross looking (I did not taste or touched the food at all). The eggs where cold and the bacon not done. Salad? 2 pieces of dried up rucola. I am sorry I did not make a picture, I was amazed by the plate and the attitude of the waiter that somehow tried to blame it on me, cause they will throw away the food that I had to send back. Not even for a second did he try to take it back to make a new plate, a better cooked one. His explanation was that that is how the food looks and that the menu is just as a title of presentation. Believe me when I say, the food in my plate had nothing to do with what I ordered. And the waiter's attitude made it worst. We where like 6 people there, so it was not a case of "busy restaurant excuse". And as I said, the guy did not do anything about it, just blamed me for throwing the food. If it was so good and proper made, why didn't they eat it? :)

The coffee was good , the cake too. But here happend to me something that I really experienced for the first time. I was alone so I chose to stay at the table which is really close to the window , the one with the nice landscape view (which was free , and not reserved). It shocked me when the waiter tried to move me to a another table for the argument that I occupied a 4 seat table and I am single and they need it occupied by more people, and I should go to a 2 seat table. Excuse me ???? When I pay for something I expect me to be the one who make the choices not the waiter. That really disguised me. Probably I will go to another coffee shop next time , if I will ever come here again in visit. I really didn't like it ,...

All Marty restaurants are a very good option for a meal in town, also for the good schedule. Most of their dishes are delicious (also depends on taste), made with fresh ingredients, beautiful design served in a pleasant atmosphere. The food is varied and the menu is intuitive with pictures. (drinks, salads, soups, pizza, burgers, pasta, chicken, fish, beef, pork, desserts) It is a good place for groups, celebrations and they have some facilities for families too(high chair and coloring paper).
