Superb location but unfortunately it lacks so much. Waiters can be better trained, ours kept forgetting what we asked, hasn't brought enough menus for the amount of people, we had to share them. About food, we must-have been on the wrong chef shift. The food was uncooked, the Lebanese skweres were as raw as it can be. They have apologised but my child already ate some of them before he realised something wasn't right. He has been quite sick for the following 2 days. I am very keen on fish, my wasn't great at all, a bit raw from the grill and seemed off. Normally I would've had an empty plate but this time I could barely touch it. Pasta was well under "al dente". All the food seemed rushed. When we arrived there ware only a couple of people. I wouldn't think is that hard to cater for a handful of people. Everyone from the group felt sick next day. I was relieved that my toddler wasn't keen on eating then. It's such a shame as the marketing behind is great, it could be an exquisite restaurant. Lovely experience. Big enough for simultaneous events without disturbing eachother. Parking space although theoretically available, is most of the time full. Prices are typical but in the context that the location does not not make it a cheap place. Food is varied enough, although it's easy to spot some Italian and Lebanese influences. Quality of food is good has vegan/vegetarian dishes, seafood, lots of options for meat. A separate menu is available for drinks which offers great variety. Am fost acum câţiva ani şi ne-a plăcut, de aceea, am revenit - cu ocazia Festivalului Scrumbiei din 2025. Am venit ca ghid de turism şi am găsit un festival PROST organizat, cu aglomeraţie imensă. Nu găseai un loc fără coadă infernală pe faleză, terasele şi restaurantele respingeau doritorii închizând bucătăriile. ÎN TIMP CE ERA FESTIVALUL LA ORA APOGEULUI. Aşa că, din bună credinţă, am adus turişti la Alex. Inițial, ne-au respins şi ei, dar alţi turişti de-ai mei ne-au oferit masa pentru că plecau. Am fost serviți foarte greu, comanda a durat o oră şi un sfert la peste, făcându-ne să intrăm în criză de timp. Aflat sub imperiul DEZORGANIZĂRII TOTALE a festivalului, am spus că cei de la restaurant nu au fost pregătiți unui asemenea flux, Asta a deranjat. Am pus şi o postare pe Facebook care exprimă adevărul găsit acolo. În loc să-şi asume adevărul spus şi să caute soluţii pentru viitor, restaurantul a preferat să îmi șteargă eticheta de la postarea mea de Facebook! În loc să-şi ceară scuze că a fost servirea aşa cum a fost şi să ne invite să mai venim cu turişti, pentru că eu am să mai vin, cineva cu mult orgoliu şi nesăbuință s-a comportat balcanic. Asumarea e grea, tare. Mai bine dăm cu mucii în fasole. Păcat de lipsa de educaţie şi de această mentalitate retrogradă.

Upgrade la această recenzie. După ce a apărut pe google recenzia de mai sus, răspunsul restaurantului a fost să îmi blocheze contul de Facebook şi să îmi răspundă că nu am fost acolo, deci să-mi anuleze recenzia. Dragilor, eu, ca ghid de turism, am avut, la rândul meu, momentele mele dificile în carieră, dar din bun simţ nu am şters niciodată recenziile negative la adresa mea, nu am blocat pe nimeni. Fiecare are dreptul la opinie. Ceea ce a făcut restaurantul Alex din Galați este INTOLERANŢĂ. Din fericire, restaurantul nu poate șterge recenzia de pe google, şi îmi imaginez câtă fierbere e în inima celui ce nu suportă adevărul. Mă face să râd şi să fiu trist în acelaşi timp.
