I don’t usually write Google reviews — maybe just a handful in the past — but I felt compelled to share my thoughts after visiting this place. I ordered butter chicken, naan, and samosa chaat. Coming from a North Indian background, I had certain expectations, especially seeing a dish like butter chicken on the menu. I wasn’t expecting perfection, but at least a decent, familiar North Indian flavor. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. To be honest, the butter chicken tasted more like a South Indian curry — it had coconut in it, which I’ve never seen used in this dish before. While it’s fine to add a twist to classic recipes, I feel the essence of a traditional dish should still be preserved. The naan was actually quite good — soft, fresh, and flavorful. I’d rate that part of the meal well. However, the samosa chaat was disappointing. It had no green chutney, which is usually a key component, and the outer layer of the samosa tasted more like a quesadilla tortilla than a traditional samosa crust. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s how it felt. Overall, I’m giving this place 1 star based on my experience. I saw the Google rating was 4.9, which honestly surprised me. It makes me wonder if the reviews are completely genuine. I probably won’t return — not just because of my experience, but because I was passing through and don’t plan to stop again. If you’re traveling and craving a satisfying meal, I’d honestly recommend trying a local Mexican spot instead — you might have a better experience.

I’m pretty sure I was born on the wrong continent, because I could easily trade any and all American food for a lifetime eating Asian. That includes everything from Japan and Korea over to India, and, of course, the Middle East, as all of these comprise the Asian spectrum of cuisine. So when I spied a new Indian restaurant today in Amarillo, I quickly changed my plans to head home for a boring lunch. Nope, it was going to be Indian today, a cuisine I have come to love not just for some similarities to Thai, but also its unique fare. Sai Indian did not disappoint in the least, and judging by the steady crowd of patrons entering and exiting, I’d say this place has quickly built up a clientele. Their Health Inspection Report of 97 is amazing in its own right, but their food goes over 100 effortlessly. I ordered Aloo Gobi, as it is among my Indian faves, which amounts to cauliflower, potatoes, and tomatoes in a spicy curry sauce. It is served with a bowl of steaming Basmati rice. I also ordered a side of Roti, a gluten free and vegan alternative to Naan bread. I requested a 3 out of 5 on the spiciness scale, which was just enough to elicit a little sinus activity, but no sweating or crying. Hats off to Sai Indian for offering a very long vegetarian menu alongside traditional omnivore options. They tell me they are very happy to adapt to vegan as requested. I’m thrilled to add this place to my short list of Amarillo favorites. I shall return, and very soon.

Are you kidding?! What a dream come true! I am so happy they moved to Amarillo. I met them when I used to live in the Ft worth area and I used to eat there all the time. I was sad to leave them when I moved. Tried the Indian buffet that was already in Amarillo and it made me even more sad. Five years later, the seed I planted for wanting them to move here finally sprouted. They finally opened here and they are doing terrific the moment they opened doors. Place is a nice location, lots of natural light, and casual. Also with enough parking and on Olsen street. Food is STILL delicious as ever as the owners and other family members cook in the kitchen. Super authentic and they CARE about their quality. Super fresh too. Buffet is excellent as well because they make sure they make everything that day to serve. The service is very friendly as well. I am so happy they're in Amarillo! If you want to experience excellent Indian food, this will be (and is now) the #1 Indian restaurant in Amarillo and you'll realize that as soon as you come and try it as well. I suggest getting the buffet first if Indian food is new for you. Enjoy! And welcome to Amarillo my friends!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing Indian restaurant that had the most incredible buffet spread. Let me tell you, it was such a fantastic experience from start to finish! As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me with such warmth and hospitality. They really went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my visit.

The restaurant had this cozy and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at ease. They had soft Indian music playing in the background, and the decor was just beautiful. The lighting was perfect, creating a really nice ambiance for a relaxing meal. And let me tell you, the buffet setup was so exciting! It gave me the chance to try so many delicious Indian dishes.

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, it was absolutely divine! The buffet had such a wide variety of mouthwatering Indian delicacies. Every dish was prepared with so much care and attention to detail. You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients and the perfect balance of flavors.

But you know what really made the experience even better? The service! The waitstaff was so attentive and friendly. They made sure that the buffet was always well-stocked and fresh. They were happy to answer any questions I had and even gave me some great recommendations. Their passion for the food they served really shone through, and it made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.

All in all, my visit to this Indian buffet restaurant was absolutely amazing. The combination of delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and outstanding service made it an experience I won't forget. I left with a happy belly and a newfound appreciation for the incredible flavors of Indian cuisine. If you're looking for a truly delightful dining experience, I highly recommend checking out this buffet restaurant. You won't be...
