Went last night with a big group bar hopping in a limo. Limo was more lively than this place. It was crowded yet only 6-10 couples on the dance floor at a time, 1/3 of those were just girls twirling each other in the middle of the floor. DJ refused to play anything other than Texas country. Not everyone who lives here listens to it. And while there are a few good songs they are not popular or known to the mass public. Anyway my hubby went and asked the DJ to play ONE Tejano song. Just one, it was a special night for us, Iām very ill, terminal in fact, and it was the first night Iāve been out of the house and able to walk for sorry about of time in 6 months. Husband wanted a slow dance and so did I. Weāve been together since I was 15 years old, Iām about to be 39. Iāve been with him for more than half my life, and just the thought of us being apart forever is excruciating. Anyway, the DJ looks at my husband and scoffs and said uhh no. Then turned his back on him.
When he got back to me I could see he was upset, he told us what happened and one of the girls that was with us was mad so she went and asked the same thing. He had her a little more attention and said āwe donāt take requests after 11pm.
Dude seriously? Itās not like your dance floor is full. People obviously arenāt feeling what youāre putting out there. Not enough sense in your head to realize that??
So when she got back and told us was happened I told everyone to finish their drinks and we would be leaving such a racists place. And since it was a company party to one of the biggest and most profitable company in the panhandle, Iāll give you a hint they build things. Anyway since it was, Iāll have no issue telling the brass up top what happened, how racist your workers are, and maybe the entire company should just nix their plans to come here.
And to the DJ, I hope you have the day you deserve, and many many more like it. Because I donāt get long enough to live to see my children get married and have a happy life. But you get to be a do/$ for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible place where the bouncers think they are above basic human decency because they are the "law" Some stupid bouncer ran right into me and knocked my phone so hard out my hand that it flew across the room, and the back and the battery came out. To be honest, I didn't know whomever ran into was a bouncer. Not that it should matter. I yelled out, come on man, watch what the F you are doing! Bouncer turns around and gets all in my face and tells me he is kicking me out. WHAT? dude seriously. Quit over compensating for what you don't have, and just apologize. After I picked up my phone, I notice the screen is broken from the fall. I point this out to the bouncer and he proclaims how "soft" the floors are and jumps up and down.... I look down at the HARD WOOD floor and can't even find words to reply to such idiocy . As he is telling me I am being removed, someone from my group started talking to him, telling him, come on dude, you knocked her phone out her hand, can't you just apologize? The bouncer then tells him that he is being kicked out too!!!! After some debate back and forth, the bouncer decides to leave us alone... well, sort of. He walked away, and as we are talking about the situation, he came up around the back of us, and heard we called him an A** concerning the situation, and AGAIN tries to kick us out for eavesdropping on our conversation, apparently freedom of speech is not part of this bar's constitution! The rest of the short while we stayed there he continued to harass us with his "above law" attitude every time he walked past our group, trying to start situations on purpose. Apparently this is common place and accepted at this bar. Never again will we return here.
Everything else at the bar was just OK. Bartenders are slow, drinks were't that great, and the atmosphere was not worth returning to again.
All of this and I have a broken phone, and couldn't just get an "I'm sorry"
If you are into the kind of place that treats their patrons like crap, this is the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWith the shooting and violence you would think that they would shut this place down. I went to this place one time I have medical conditions(my heart and seizures) and when I was there I proceeded to have a seizures. I was obviously not drunk as I has soda all night because of my meds at the time but was accused of being drunk my husband told the bouncer more then once I was having a seizures he did nothing to help at all my husband said he almost had to fight him because of how rude and unconcerned he was. I understand you deal with drunk ppl but when you are being told someone his in medical distress you should help not argue with your customers. I ended up in the hospital because of that one it was terrible. This place needs to be shut down too many ppl are being hurt and the staff is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I tell everyone to avoid this place period. Oh and the parking lot is dangerous between gun fire and badly lite parking lot makes it so easy to be assaulted,...
