Ok. Donāt mean to be a downer but sometimes a mediocre review needs to be said just so the standard stays consistent and this should reach the ears of management to keep it sharp. Iāve visited this cafe over the last 3 years and itās great to see a cafe that pumps and food is on point. I really only go there to get my caffeine fix and overall, a local coffee roaster in Samoa is something special and will support it 100%. Iāve been in the industry for 32 years and have friends in NZ that have been in the game for the same amount of time as myself roasting coffee and serving. Weka, Rocket, Raglan Roasters, Santos and Morning Glory to name a few I know personally. All great coffee and coming from a chefs point of view, make strong brews that gets my day off to a good start. To be considered however, like any product I believe, needs to have that same attention to detail in its extraction and serving of this fantastic product of coffee we all so love. So therefore, paying 10 tala for a flat white, I expect the cup of coffee should reflect the quality of the product that I can easily get back in NZ for the same price of $6.50 or cheaper. Alas I get a lack lustre, rushed, barely hot, thrown in milky coffee, of which I waited 20 minutes for! ( I finished reading the local paper from back to front waiting ) I even gave up my table waiting for my coffee⦠and so it was served in a takeaway cup, which I donāt mind if it was the same size, 6-8 Oz, but it wasnāt, it looked like the giraffe ālongest drink in townā size, which usually hold milkshakes! So while waiting by the espresso machine I observed the process which was a shame, the unskilled treatment of making coffee, and the reason of my delay, as they were focusing on the phone ordered milkshake size, throw in the milk coffees! And yet, there is another 3 station espresso machine lying dormant to its side?! So please sharpen up the system and skills. We donāt demand perfection but We all donāt want mediocre! I apologise again from a...
