Unconditional Hospitality!!! What a pleasant surprise... was out in the evening to U Walk- Riyadh with colleagues and we wanted to have an early dinner after a successful long day of leadership training.... whist we were checking the restaurants, there was this gentle happy looking person .. bright eyes who smiled at us and said would like to give us an opportunity to serve you.. and you will not regret it!... and too my surprise.. he knew me.. he addressed me Mr. Kumar... I'm like really sorry.. I don't recognize you.... Sir I worked with you in UAE 5 yrs back.. I'm Imran Mr. Kumar... I been following you in LinkedIn and social media… and I felt so bad that I couldn't recognize him...moreover my colleagues said let give a shot and try... And we made a awesome decision.. it was one of the most amazing Italian dining experiences we had.. there were many surprises... the menu item recommend was perfect and delicious.... portion was wow.... authentic pizza and pasta experience.. Service was outstanding, the order taker took the liberty to give best menu selection... salads to dessert.. it was the right choice.. we thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience… And we said to Imran ..we are going to come back with friends and family soon.. He went out of his comfort zone to make our experience a memorable one... such a small world.. can’t wait for another delightful experience... well done to the management team in their selection of people, menu... cozy ambience... * 5 STAR...

Very underwhelming experience!

We heard good things about this restaurant and that we will experience an authentic Italian food but with the price range being on a high side i really wanted it to be as claimed. However, unfortunately it was absolutely the opposite.

1. our food came at once which is a big no no in the food industry! the appetizers, mains, pasta back to back with no time to enjoy the appetizer (buratta salad) until we had to verbally ask them stop bringing everything and give us a chance to chew food first. So they managed to stop making the pizza at least. As for the food itself:
2. the buratta was mediocre, did not taste fresh and nothing special at all.
3. the steak was un-edible and for 145SR thats a shame.
4. pasta was ok nothing special and absolutely not worth 190sr, it lacked flavor, was a bit cold and just meh.
5. we got the bresaola pizza which was a big shame! The ingredients did not compliment each other at all. The dough was burned and soggy, the bresaola was cut into thick chunks and thrown on top of the pizza and there was almost no cheese on the pizza which resulted in a doughy bread with dry bresaola on top.

Now, if we were talking about a casual restaurant with average prices then sure that meal would’ve been 5/10 but i wouldn’t be mad about it. But, to pay almost 600SR for three items and not enjoying the experience is a shame. You can pay similar price in another restaurant with a better...

Location : U walk , the most recent restaurants and shopping area in Riyadh .

Staff : the receiption girls were very nice and friendly . Indian waiters are very lost and unprofessional .. Arab waiters : very dry and very unfriendly .

Food : I ordered beef carpaccio($18) but I ended up getting bresaola that I will rate 6/10 .

And I had one truffle pizza ($45) that I will rate 4/10 .

For drink I had italian dream ( strawberry plus mint and basil with tonic drink ) ($10) that was tasteless and I will rate it 1/10 .

Why low rate ? 1- I was treated in bad way .. I was given plastic fork and knife whereas all tables had metal sets .

2- I was given uncapped oil bottle ; gross and unprofessional for such place .

3- I was given an order not mine to start with , then the waiter came back to ask me what was my order .

4- after I finish my food I asked for the menu , plates was taken off my table but never clean the table .I had to clean it myself to have my coffee .

Value for quality ? Very overrated . For such price Riyadh has many ultra professional restaurants to dine in .

Will I visit again ? Most likely not as I prefer to have better quality food .

Do I recommend this place ? NO .
