Tamata Pizzeria - تاماتا بيتزا — Restaurant in Al Maathar Municipality

Our visit to this restaurant was, sadly, a complete disappointment. While the decor and ambience initially promised a great experience, the reality of the food and service destroyed any sense of enjoyment.

The menu is extremely limited, and the one pasta dish we ordered specifically for its Burrata cheese topping arrived without it. We had ordered two plates, and neither had the main ingredient! When we questioned this, the server casually mentioned that the chef ‘forgot’ to add it. His solution? Just a string of empty apologies and zero action to actually fix the problem. It was absurd.

What really added insult to injury was that the restaurant was completely empty. With no other guests and a simple, limited menu, you'd expect the staff could at least manage to get an order right. But apparently, even basic service standards are too much to ask here. Despite paying high prices, we got food missing its key ingredient, with the only 'compensation' being a measly 10% discount. I left feeling ripped off.

It’s astonishing that a place would pour money into decor while offering service that’s frankly amateurish. If they think apologies can make up for a ruined dining experience, they’re sorely mistaken. Simple, basic, and casual with great selection of music, i like 👍 All in all, would rate the experience 8/10. Unfortunately, didn’t try the Pizza, but would definitely revisit to try. The ingredients and preparation were good, mushrooms were fresh 🫡 Our orders: Arancini; 8/10, great compared to other places, i like the sweet onions on top, it balances the taste. Parmigiana; 10/10, well done 👍, clear flavors and balanced. Risotto Mushrooms, 8/10, well made, for me i felt it was missing something. Truffle Ravioli, 9/10, simple and well made, sauces had clear defined taste balancing the cheese stuffing.(forgot to a picture for this dish 😖)

Had the chance to try the pizza today 😁 And glad i did, though the parmigiana wasn’t as good as my first visit; but was still enjoyable. Pizzas: Again, fresh ingredients 🫡 Margarita; 10/10 Pepperoni; 10/10 Those 2 were basic and made properly, i love that flavors were created without much seasoning, bravo 👏 Tamata Pizza; sorry folks i cant rate this, its out of the norm and couldn’t compare it with any others. It has a fresh taste that catches you by surprise, and a different Pizza experience. The Burrata cheese is a main ingredient. If your that person who loves to try new food, i would definitely recommend.

Second time within 2 years to come to Tamata. At first, love the location and atmosphere. Quiet and pleasant place. Among our order we had 2 pastas with Burrata. The order came without burrata and when it was mentioned to the waiter, he did not know that the dish has burrata and where it should be, mixed in or on top. And after checking with the chef he said, yes, HE FORGOT TO PUT BURRATA. And that is it!! It is the main ingredient of the dish, stated in the menu! To our surprise, neither the bill was discounted, no burrata was compensated or another pasta cooked. NOTHING, the waiter showed total neglectance to 5 people dining and not caring about their impression.

Just a remark, the place does not have much customers, only few. Prices are above the average. The menu is limited. Has only around 4 pasta dishes . And all that above, poor customer sevice. Even no black tea in the stock, though menu has it...
